Regina Marie Williams (Fannie)
Regina Marie Williams was last seen on stage at Theatre Latte Da as Mama in Chicago and as Bernarda Alba in The House of Bernarda Alba. She has performed at Pillsbury House Theatre, Mixed Blood Theater, The Capri (Eartha: The Whole Kitt & Kaboodle), Chanhassen Dinner Theatres (Sister Act) and The Guthrie (Guys & Dolls). She originated the role of Nina Simone in Christina Ham’s Nina Simone: Four Women and has performed it at The Kenny Leon True Color’s Theatre, The People’s Light, and in two productions at Park Square Theatre in St Paul where the show was first commissioned. Ms Williams is a core member at Ten Thousand Things, a founding member of New Dawn Theatre and a proud Penumbra Theater company member. She received McKnight Theatre Artist Fellowships at the Playwrights’ Center in both 2007 and 2017 and has recorded three solo CDs co- produced with Sanford Moore (Moore by Four) and Gary Hines (Sounds of Blackness). Ms Williams lives in Minneapolis with her husband.
