Moe Lionel is a writer and performance artist whose work focuses on resiliency, disease, trauma, and the body. In 2011, through the Naked Stages program, he created in and out of the body with direction from Gabrielle Civil and Ellen Marie Hinchcliffe. His other works include it runs in the family in the Bedlam Ten-Minute Play Festival, Posthumous in the Pleasure Rebel series, and (__________) doesn’t know (__________) own beauty, a collaboration with Gabrielle Civil at the Fish House Studio. He is currently researching and writing a book of short stories about Duluth as part of a Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative Grant. He yearns for and in moments, finds hope for a world where it is easier to breathe.
