Intikana is a Taino/Boricua Hip Hop artist, poet, educator, filmmaker, and photographer from the Bronx. He has been featured on VH1 and toured across the United States, Canada, Cuba, Boriken (Puerto Rico), Costa Rica, Guatemala, Ecuador, Peru, Colombia, and Afrika while sharing the stage with artists such as KRS- One, Immortal Technique, Talib Kweli, Lupe Fiasco, M1 of Dead Prez, and Saul Williams, among many others. As an Urban Word NYC Youth Mentor and full time touring musician, Intikana has performed and facilitated workshops at over 150 universities/colleges, high schools, elementary/middle schools, community centers, and prison facilities. He has worked with countless community organizations to provide innovative educational opportunities to thousands of young people through art and social/cultural awareness.
