Now in its second year, Drag Story Hour is a free, interactive experience for children featuring drag performances, activities, and, of course, reading aloud! Drag Story Hour models techniques that young audiences can try out in their own dramatic play. Children are encouraged to tap into their imaginations and see themselves as creative forces, expanding their ideas about what is possible in performance.
Drag Story Hour is for children and caretakers of all ages. The program consciously includes the cultural identity of the performers with the hope that audiences may see parts of themselves reflected in the work and also become curious and connect with those who are different from them.
