Daniel Alexander Jones makes live art.  His unconventional, interdisciplinary approach has yielded a dynamic body of work including: Phoenix Fabrik, Bel Canto, Blood:Shock:Boogie, Earthbirths and Qualities of Light.  Jones maintains long-running collaborations with artists Robbie McCauley, Vinie Burrows, Helga Davis, Sonja Perryman, Sharon Bridgforth, Walter Kitundu, Grisha Coleman and Barbara Duchow.  Daniel’s collaboration with composer Bobby Halvorson, Jomama Jones * Radiate premiered in a sold-out run at Soho Rep in 2011 under the direction of Kym Moore – and was a NY Times Critic’s Pick.  The CDs Lone Star and Radiate, produced by Halvorson were released on the independent imprint, Aries Records.  He is currently at work on An Integrator’s Manual, a volume comprised of his collected writing for performance and essays. Jones received the Alpert Award in Theatre and support from Creative Capital and the MAP Fund.  He is an alumnus of New Dramatists, a Core Member of the Playwrights’ Center and is an Assistant Professor of Theatre at Fordham University in Manhattan.
