Ashawnti Sakina Ford is an actress, teaching artist, improviser, playwright, director and cultural producer whose work centers on social justice, youth voice and Black expression. She was born and raised in the Twin Cities by two Twin Cities artists and is proud to have been brought up with a special attention towards Blackness and Creativity. Her work in Blackout Improv has allowed her to travel the world teaching and performing in comedy that centers social issues. She deeply admires Pillsbury House and Theatre and the commitment that they make to their artists and community and the greater Twin Cities area.
