Announcing PHT intern Anya Opshinsky

For the month of March Anya Opshinsky will be working with the Pillsbury House + Theatre as a part of a venture entitled Community Routes. Community Routes is a research-based road trip that seeks to celebrate community-centered art making throughout the country. Since October 2015 Anya and her friend and colleague

have been on the road visiting and learning from some of the artists and organizations that most inspire them in order to explore the connection between the arts and strong communities.

While at Pillsbury Anya will be working will Molly Avery and Mike Hoyt on recording the stories of previous Naked Stages grant recipients, helping out with other long term projects and interviewing Pillsbury employees for her own research.

The Twin Cities is the fifth stop on Anya and Serena’s trip and the first stop that they are working at two different organizations. While Anya is with Pillsbury Serena will be working with Spring Board for the Arts in Saint Paul.

Anya and Serena have been creating case-studies of each organization they have worked with throughout their travels.
