On our Mainstage, you can experience contemporary scripts unlike any you will see elsewhere in Minnesota, bringing you closer than any other theater to the Twin Cities’ best actors and directors. The Chicago Avenue Project pairs star professional artists with neighborhood kids and reminds us all of the joy and power that imaginations unleashed create.
Understand
All our programs inspire people to strive for choice, change, and connection in their lives. We instigate powerful, effective dialogues around bias in corporations and nonprofits with Breaking Ice. We also help to amplify the voices of older adults through our free CenterStage memoir classes.
Experiment
We’re also supporting the next great American voices. Naked Stages is a seven month mentoring program that nurtures the voices of performance artists who invent new disciplines and know no boundaries. In addition, we’re the proud host of two McKnight Community-Engaged Artist Fellows each year.
